Handover
Once a tender is priced and sent, the estimating side of the job is largely done — but the construction team taking it on site still needs to see what was actually priced. Handover is the link that gets them that, without giving them the run of the tender.
Sharing a handover link
Once a tender's status is set to Won, the Project drawer offers Share handover link. It generates a public link that needs no login to open.
What it shows
The handover link is read-only, and shows only two things: Breakdown and Quote Comparison. It never shows Review or Submission — the estimating working views stay internal. This keeps the link focused on what a construction team actually needs: what was priced, and on what basis.
It always shows the current state
A handover link is not a one-time snapshot frozen at the moment you generated it. It always resolves to the latest ready version of the tender, so if a revision is saved later, the same link updates to reflect it — you do not need to reissue a new link every time something changes.
A handover link expires automatically 30 days after it is created. If it has expired when someone tries to open it, regenerating it from the same Share handover panel issues a fresh working link, valid for another 30 days.
Who it is for
Handover is for people outside Estimator+ entirely — the site team, a project manager, anyone who needs to see what was won without needing an account of their own. It sits alongside Delegate takeoff as the other public, no-login link in the app; where a takeoff link lets someone contribute measurements, a handover link only lets someone look.
