Account
Company settings
Admin → Company is where your company's identity and defaults live — the things that apply across every tender rather than to just one. Only a company admin can open it.
Branding
Upload your company logo here. It is what prints on the tender header and other company-branded documents.
Company details
Your company name, phone, ABN, email and address. Your ABN and address are what print on the tender header, so it is worth keeping them current.
Estimating defaults
Two settings seed every new tender: default margin and GST rate.
The important thing to understand about the default margin: it is stamped onto a tender at the moment that tender is created, not read live afterwards. Changing the default margin today only affects tenders created from today onward — it never reaches back and re-prices tenders that already exist. If you need to adjust the margin on an existing tender, do it on that tender directly, on its Review page.
GST rate seeds the default used on a tender's submission — it can still be adjusted per tender if a particular job needs a different rate.
Trade Names
Admin → Trade Names holds your company's own labels for the standard trades — the names you actually want to see and print, rather than a generic list. Set them once here and they carry through to every tender, so a trade reads the same way on this job as it did on the last one.
Between these three groups — Branding, Company details and Estimating defaults — Company settings is really answering one question: what should every new tender assume, before you have touched it. Getting the margin and GST rate right here means less to check on each individual tender later.
