Company setup
Estimator+ is invite-only — you can't sign yourself up. A company admin sends you an invite by email, and accepting it drops you into a short setup wizard that gets your account and your company's profile in place before you touch a tender.
Onboarding
The wizard is two steps:
- About you — your first name, last name, and role (Director/Owner, Estimator, Project Manager, Contracts Administrator, Quantity Surveyor, or Other).
- Set up your company — your company's name, phone number, ABN, and billing email.
Finish the wizard and you're straight into the app. Adding teammates happens afterwards, from Admin — see Seats & roles.
Company settings
Once you're in, an admin fills out the rest of the company profile from Admin → Company:
- Branding — upload a logo (JPEG or PNG). It appears on your submission documents.
- Company details — name, phone, ABN, email, and address. Your ABN and address print on the tender header.
- Estimating defaults — default margin and GST rate.
Default margin: read this before you set it
The default margin only applies at the moment a new tender is created — it's stamped onto the project then, and stays there. Changing the company default afterwards never touches tenders that already exist, submitted or not. If a margin needs fixing on a tender you've already started, do it on that tender's Review page — trades can be set individually there, so one project can carry different margins to the company default without you having to touch the setting itself.
Treat the default as a starting point for new work, not a lever for adjusting live tenders. If you raise or lower it, only tenders created from that point on will pick it up.
The GST rate default works differently: it seeds every new submission, but you can still adjust it per tender on the Submission page — useful if a particular job needs a different treatment.
Trade names
Admin → Trade Names lets you relabel Estimator+'s standard trade list with the names your own company uses internally. Search for a trade and type your name for it; leave it blank and the standard name is used. This only changes what's displayed on your tenders — it doesn't add, remove, or merge trades.
Members and billing — seats, roles, and inviting the rest of your team — are covered separately in Seats & roles.
