Review & submission

Excel export

Alongside the submission PDF, you can export the whole tender as a spreadsheet. From your projects list, open a project's drawer and choose Export as Excel among its actions.

What you get

The download is a single workbook covering the tender end to end, laid out as separate sheets — one for each stage of the job:

  • Estimate — the ledger, as measured and priced.
  • Subcontractor Comparison — every quote entered against every trade, the same comparison you work with in Quote Comparison.
  • Review — the trade-by-trade rollup with margin applied.
  • Submission — the priced breakdown as it appears in the document you send.

Because it's one workbook rather than four separate files, the sheets stay easy to flick between while you're checking one stage of the job against another — the same ledger line you measured on Estimate is the one priced on Submission, just laid out for a different purpose on each sheet.

When to reach for it

The workbook is useful anywhere you need the numbers outside Estimator+ itself:

  • Checking the tender's figures against a separate spreadsheet or a client's own cost plan.
  • Handing a working copy to someone who needs the numbers but doesn't have access to the project — a director, an accountant, a head office estimator on another system.
  • Keeping an offline record alongside the submission PDF, in case you need to revisit exactly how a trade was priced later.

Because it's generated fresh each time you click Export, it always reflects the tender exactly as it stands at that moment — there's no separate copy drifting out of sync with what's actually in the project. Export again after you've picked a few more quotes, and the new workbook carries the change.

It's worth downloading a fresh copy rather than reusing an old one, even a day or two old. A tender that's actively being priced changes constantly — a quote lands, a pick moves, a measurement gets corrected — and a stale workbook will quietly disagree with the project on numbers that have since moved.
